The Japanese-market STI, which is a different car from the Australian one. Where Australia's GRB STI had the 2.5-litre EJ257, Japan kept the 2.0-litre EJ207 — a twin-scroll turbo flat-four that revs to 8,000 rpm and makes 227 kW and 422 Nm — behind a six-speed manual with the driver-controlled centre differential, SI-Drive and Brembo brakes. This one has had its timing belt done, wears the STI half-leather seats and factory 18-inch STI wheels, and has an odometer history from its Japanese registration records that shows steady, consistent use. The wide-body hatch that ended the Impreza STI line, with the engine the export markets never got.
