Toyota's mid-engined two-seater, in its last full year. The SW20 MR2 put a 2.0-litre twin-cam behind the seats and the driver ahead of the rear wheels, and it is the shape most people picture when they hear the name. This is a late fourth-revision car — August 1997 build — with the 3S-GE naturally aspirated four, the G Limited grade that added power steering, power-folding mirrors, fog lamps and the factory rear wing, and the automatic that makes it an everyday mid-engined car rather than a weekend one. Toyota Super White over a red interior, and fewer than 141,000 km in twenty-nine years. Under the 25-year rule these are only now arriving in numbers; the automatics are the ones that get driven.
